Web 2.0 Assignment
I am writing this blog as an assignment for my educational technology class. I will be reviewing seven web 2.0 tools and telling how they could be used in my classroom.

Show Document is a web 2.0 tool that allows users to share documents, screenshots, maps, videos, and web pages. This tool allows you to invite others and give them a code to attend meetings. It also allows several people to work on the same project from remote distances. This tool would be useful for me in the classroom for sharing screen shots with my students. I also like the chat feature that it provides.

Tube Chop is a tool that allows you to edit videos. Using this tool you “chop” the part of a video that you like in order to share it. It seems like an easy way to edit videos. In my classroom I would use this to edit videos that I wanted to share but had parts that were not relevant or appropriate to show. I could also use it to follow fair use copyright laws.

Slide Boom is a tool that allows users to create web presentations using PowerPoint files. It also allows users to embed presentations into blogs or websites. Viewers of your presentations can leave feedback. This tool would be useful for me because of the ability to embed presentations in websites. I would use it for my back to school presentations and embed them into my website.

Webspiration is a safe learning tool. It allows teachers to give students assignments online. The assignments are visual, and allow students to brainstorm and develop assignments. I would use this tool in order to give research paper assignments. Students could use this tool to gather all of their information and then write their paper.

Creately is a tool that allows users to build diagrams. It also allows for collaboration. Creately has many diagrams for your use. I would use this tool in building my classroom rules flowchart. I would allow use it as an assignment for students to build a diagram.

Yacapaca is a quiz building tool. It has quiz’s available for you to use or you can create your own quiz. The quiz’s you give in Yacapaca grade automatically. This tool would be useful to me in the aspect of grading. I would use it as a way for me to not have to grade quizzes.

Class Tools allow users to create games, quizzes and diagrams. You can put your finishes product on your blog or website. Class tools also has template available to you. I would create learning games for my students that related to what we were currently working on. The games that I created could be used as a free time reward.
